An official Platinum Club conference is held every quarter for Platinum Club stakeholders. Here, manufacturers showcase their product roadmaps for the next quarter as stated earlier. In addition to this, workshops surrounding other products and services, exclusively available to Platinum Club members are on offer. An example of this would be exclusive handsets within Data Select, which is made readily available to Platinum Club members prior to being shown to other businesses. This provides an excellent opportunity for Platinum Club members to capitalise on a key opportunity to range unique, exclusive products and services within a highly competitive market.
There is also a feedback form for each partner, allowing you to have your say on how the Platinum Club operates. The Platinum Club is not a short term promotion, nor is it a static initiative. It is a way in which Data Select can assist in the development of your company and we shall constantly tailor the services that we provide in order to suit your business needs. Therefore your input into how we can improve and benefit your business, including constructive criticism, is welcomed.

Marketing support: agreed activity will be supported with 2% of cost price of manufacturer handsets
bought during the promotion.
Members of the Platinum Club will be entitled to apply for a 2% marketing sales fund for promotions they plan to execute. For example, should a partner wish to promote a particular manufacturers handset, featuring this product in point of sale and advertising material will enable you to claim back 2% of the cost price for the number of handsets sold during the promotion.
The outlined procedure involves Data Select reporting back to the manufacturer with IMEI numbers whilst the partner provides network and tariff information. Data Select will then invoice the manufacturer for 2% of the cost price per handset subsequently crediting your account.

Advanced product roadmaps (for planning and forecasting).
As part of the direct relationship, our partnered independent dealers have the opportunity to see future activity within major manufacturers through their product roadmaps at our quarterly Platinum Club conference. These presentations showcase new releases and marketing campaigns surrounding the hero products for the forthcoming quarter. This allows for increased accuracy in forecasting and planning for all parties involved in The Platinum Club. Every Platinum Club member will receive an invite to the quarterly conference.

Free sample handsets of manufacturer key releases.
Sample handsets are proven to be a key sales aid for businesses within the mobile industry. Members of the Platinum Club are provided with up to 4 samples of key handset (subject to availability) per quarter, enabling them to gain a better understanding of the products and their features, whilst also allowing for live demonstrations to customers.

Free dummy handsets, manufacturer POS, graphic design services and onsite product training.
Members of the Platinum Club will have the opportunity to utilise the in-house marketing team at Data Select to create and enhance future marketing campaigns. A designated Platinum Club Account Manager, will be available upon request to visit your business to discuss future activity on how our marketing team can be of assistance in the development of marketing activity. As part of this service, you have the ability to utilise the onsite creative design team to create POS specific to your business. This aspect of the Platinum Club allows members to outsource certain aspects of their marketing activity, freeing up time and resources to develop the efficiency of the business.
Product training on current and future products will also be available to our members of the Platinum Club. Your designated Platinum Club Account Manager will be available, on request, to train and develop the knowledge of your team. These sessions will increase your team's understanding of manufacturer products, their target market and unique selling points. This knowledge can then be transferred into your sales channel, ensuring that the products are promoted correctly and to the correct audience. There is also a facility to fully answer customer queries and overcome objections, therefore generating higher sales revenue and profit as a result.
Additional services to Platinum Club members include access to dummy handsets and manufacturer point of sale, free of charge.

Priority ordering of new product (to avoid market prices and shortages).
After receiving advanced information on forthcoming products, our partners will be able to pre-order future units (through their account managers). As a Platinum Club member, these advance orders will be given the highest priority by Data Select. It is recognised that many new handsets are launched with limited availability and significant demand, Platinum Club aims to address these issues where possible.

Cost plus pricing.
Dealers who take up this opportunity will be rewarded with cost plus pricing. Cost plus pricing will benefit our Platinum Club partners as it allows for the supply of genuine UK products, consistently competitive in price and avoids standard market fluctuations. Platinum Club members will therefore be able to obtain the latest new stock, priced well below the standard trade value whilst also benefiting from being first to market with new products.

Virtual direct relationship (narrowing the gap with large retailers).
Over the past decade there has been little or no direct link between manufacturers and independent dealers. As a result of this, key information surrounding new products and marketing strategies has not been effectively communicated to the dealer channel, leading to missed opportunities within a market that is both competitive and diverse.
The Platinum Club will facilitate a direct relationship between manufacturers and independent dealers, allowing information to flow freely between both parties in order to improve competitiveness and efficiency.
Building this virtual relationship is the very foundation upon which the Platinum Club is built.
